[ apprehensive. at first. just in case. sometimes, the humans he encounters seem calm and non-threatening at first. it can change pretty quickly. he keeps a tight grip on his weapon, just in case. even the smallest and most innocent looking people can turn on him quick if he does something he shouldn't, if he says the wrong thing. who knows? someone could be pissed at him for destroying their roof.

[In spite of her awkward confession, Chopt is being cautious here too. But it's Pinnochio's off-hand that she's focusing on more. Gauntlet or prosthetic... she's had an all-too-recent encounter with a certified wrecking machine with an arm like that, and oftentimes reminders of past battles were things worth keeping in mind.
The second voice, and Pinnochio looking over his shoulder is odd to say the least, but then with the warning that follows, Chopt makes a call on what to prioritize.]

[She braces a little saying that. It's never been an easy question to ask.]
[ she's staring at him. hmm. determining his humanity, his lack thereof? his grip tightens on his weapon's hilt. just because she doesn't immediately appear to have a weapon on hand doesn't mean there isn't anything hidden nearby and within reach. distrusting others, distrusting humans, is what's helped him get this far. he can't afford to let his guard down.
his metal arm spasms, jerks, sparks at the elbow joint. it's painted a faded, fiery red, with a small bird motif at the forearm. hmm. if she doesn't truly know where she is ... if she's here defenseless after all, that could pose a problem. he doesn't want to be surprise attacked, but more than that, he doesn't want harm to come to someone innocent. ]
Moonlight Town. [ he gestures towards the door, ramshackled and barely held together as it is. ] The Cathedral isn't far. [ "Though, uh, it might not be any safer than it is here." ]
[That spark didn't go unnoticed. An electronic arm? Cybernetics? The presence of a light fixture meant the sky was the limits here; and definitely something more advanced in a contemporary sense than Yharnam at least. And she honestly couldn't blame the boy for being on guard either... all too often she's on the opposite sides of these sorts of interactions.
["Moonlight Town". That's definitely a new name to her, even if the moon itself has factored so extensively into things. And the Cathedral was... supposed to be someplace save? Or maybe not...? Either way, the answer told her a lot because she didn't understand the answer at all.
[But then there was the boy's own question, and Chopt's introspection gets put on hold for a fary different search of her being, her hands going through what few pockets and even her very mind tried to call on any material possessions she might have on her even if they were hidden by other means; means connected to the very nature of her Soul. But alas...]

[Her attention had drifted away from Pinnochio while searching herself, but she turns back to him, and gives an apologetic shake of her head.]
No I... thinks this is just it for me. Until I find something for me it'd be just a lot of running, hiding, and roughing it. If you had something like a sword or a knife, that could help, but...
[[A step back and she balls her hands up into fists, throwing out a few jabs, more to test how her body feels than as some sort of exhibition. Her muscles still feel loose, ready, like it'd only been hours since her brawl with Hoarah Loux that had devolved into a bitter fistfight after armor and blades had failed them both. How hard she could hit whatever the boy had been fighting though? Well that'd be a different matter. She gives Pinocchio a bit more of a reassuring smile.]
I've managed with just my fists before. Not pretty but it's gotten the job done when I needed it to.

good that she knows how to fight, at least. he watches her movements, and it's clear she's been down this road before, so to speak. they don't exactly have time for training or sparring. and he doesn't think he'd be that good a teacher, especially in these circumstances. monsters lurking around every corner, just waiting to burst through a door or leap from the ledge to launch a surprise attack. they need to both be ready, if they're going to make this trek to the cathedral together.

the boy glances at his weapon. it's heavy. slows him down, but packs a punch. and, if he's being honest, a personal favourite. he looks at his legion arm. won't be of much use detached. hmm. he pats the back of his belt, he should have ... ah-hah. ]
It's not much. [ he holds the dagger out, handle first. ] Should have something, at least.

[Chopt eyes that dagger with a look of... bemusement. Like somehow her new friend stumbled his way into some inside joke. Only this case it was just... she really did end up falling back on daggers often, didn't she?]
